The final exams have brought you and your fellow planetary scouting cadets to an uninhabited planet with a toxic atmosphere that you’ve been tasked with analyzing remotely. You’ll unlock new skills throughout the game as you build your proficiency with the available reconnaissance equipment in the four unique terrains. Adapt your strategy throughout the game with multiple scoring systems as the landscape becomes crowded by your fellow cadets. Do your best to outwit them and become top of the class!

This print at home game can be played with up to six players or as a solo experience if preferred. Plus, there’s no crafting needed! Just print out the provided sheets, grab some dice and markers, and you’re ready to start playing 🖨️🎲✍️

To get setup, you’ll need to gather a few things. Along with the printed sheets provided in the PDF files, you’ll need 4 dice of a single color, 1 dice of a different color, and 1 pen/marker per player.

Give each player a scouting exam sheet and a pen/marker. Then place the equipment selection sheet and 1 planet map sheet in the center of the table for all players to use.

Roll and place 4 dice in the outer spots of the equipment selection sheet and 1 different colored dice in the center spot. Then the first player takes their turn.

On your turn, choose 1 of the 4 terrain types on the equipment selection sheet to explore – dune, forest, river, or mountain. You may use any of that terrain’s dice to generate a number based on its specific rule.

Next, mark the number you generated in that specific terrain on the map. You cannot mark a space that’s already been claimed, so pay close attention to what your fellow cadets might be planning!

After you’ve marked your space on the map, reset the equipment for the next player’s turn by rerolling and replacing the dice you used. Then it’s time to record your progress on your exam sheet!

Play continues with each player taking turns until a row, column, or corner-to-corner diagonal on the map has been completely marked. Finish out the round, then each player adds up their final score!
